The District of Columbia's Open University Looks Ahead to Better Times.
Chinni, Dante
Journal of Blacks in Higher Education, n26 p117-19 Win 1999-2000
Since its creation, the University of the District of Columbia has suffered from inept administration, feuding faculty, and insufficient funding. It has struggled to meet the higher education needs of low-income District residents. Enmeshed in the city's scandals and financial problems, the university still lacks adequate financial support, though several positive changes have occurred in recent years. (SM)
