Describes the higher educational experiences of Lawrence Mungin, an African American who attended Harvard University and Harvard Law School. Mungin believed that working hard and being the good Black would lead to success in the White world. Despite his credentials, he was given trivial work at the law firm that hired him and that he later sued. (SM)
