Ned Hall Didn't Have to Get a Haircut: Or, Why We Haven't Learned Much about International Marketing in the Last 25 Years.
Graham, John L.; Gronhaug, Kjell
Journal of Higher Education, v60 n2 p152-87 Mar-Apr 1989
The limitations of the knowledge production system in international marketing are considered, and dissertations in international marketing are analyzed. The findings suggest that research in the area is driven by standards of rigor and a distinct "methods basis," which are often inappropriate for the study of important problems in international marketing.
