Validity and Cost of Self-Study in Accreditation of Medical Laboratory Science Educational Programs.

Although the value of self-study was found to be accepted by a majority of those involved in medical laboratory programs, it is evident that validity, in terms of improved educational programs, can be assessed only after a sufficient number of programs have had a second site visit based on a second or updated self-study.
