Undergraduate Political Attitudes. Peer Influence in Changing Social Contexts.
Dey, Eric L.
Journal of Higher Education, v68 n4 p398-413 Jul-Aug 1997
A study of peer and social influences on the political orientation of undergraduate students, using data from the Cooperative Institution Research Program, suggests that student political orientations consistently tend toward the institutional norm, whether liberal or conservative, regardless of social era in which students attend college. This also suggests that both social context and campus context influence student orientation. (MSE)
