Hannafin, Michael J.; Kim, Minchi C.; Kim, Hyeonjin
Journal of Computing in Higher Education, v15 n2 p3-20 Mar 2004

We need to better understand different approaches, activities, goals and perspectives, and approaches likely to prove effective. In this paper, we review Web-based research, theory and practice, and examine the implications of different perspectives and preferences for design and implementation.
