Stoutsenberger, Mary-Anne
Tribal College Journal of American Indian Higher Education, v17 n4 p21-22 Sum 2006
Mary-Anne Stoutsenberger has been the NASA Tribal College and University Program Manager at NASA Headquarters, Washington DC, since 2000. As NASA's liaison to the tribal colleges, she has seen firsthand how Native American students can flourish and succeed when they are surrounded with people who recognize and nurture their potential. She has gotten to know some of these students personally and has seen them grow and learn new things about themselves as well as about the world around them. She works closely with the American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC) to reach all tribal colleges and universities with NASA education and research opportunities. In this article, she shares one particularly successful story.
