Marking Standards and the Differential Predictability of the First-Year University Performance of Different Demographic Groups.
Huysamen, G. K.
South African Journal of Higher Education, v15 n1 p129-37 2001
Investigated differential validity and prediction of first-year university grades of two cohorts of students from historically white and historically black schools in South Africa, and the contribution of variations in grading standards between university courses to this differential validity and prediction. Adjustment for differences in grading led to slightly better correlation between high school and university grades. (EV)
