Perceptual Sensitivity to Dimensional and Similarity Relations in Free and Rule-Governed Classifications.
Cook, Gregory L.; Odom, Richard D.
Journal of Experimental Child Psychology, v45 n2 p319-38 Apr 1988

Results support a differential-sensitivity view of perceptual development which asserts that individuals at all ages primarily perceive and use separate relations. (RWB)
