Children's Perception of Melodies: The Role of Contour, Freqency, and Rate of Presentation.
Morrongiello, Barbara A.; And Others
Journal of Experimental Child Psychology, v40 n2 p279-92 Oct 1985

Melodies transformed by reordering tones were as discriminable as those transformed by inserting novel frequencies. (Author/RH)
