Presents a case study in which Internet technology was used to create an Intranet for college classes. A survey of 82 students enrolled in two undergraduate courses suggests that the Internet, using the Intranet model, can serve as a starting point for an electronic classroom. This study tested 625 college students in an introductory computer course to determine their knowledge of common computer terms. Results indicate that a large proportion of the terms are used inconsistently, and not understood by either students or those who define them.
