To determine the degree to which PLAN (Program for Learning in Accordance with Needs) goals were attained, and to compare PLAN with a more conventional educational program used in control classes, the critical incidents method was used. PLAN goals are development of student self-responsibility, self-management, and resourcefulness. (NH)
