In 1973-74 public school superintendents in Mississippi estimated that during the next five years their school systems would need 164 psychologists, 68 percent at master's degree level. Average salaries anticipated were $10,594 for master's level, $11,303 for specialist, and $12,861 for doctoral level. (DS)
