Student Characteristics, Practice, and Achievement in Physical Education.
Silverman, Stephen
Journal of Educational Research, v87 n1 p54-61 Sep-Oct 1993
This study investigated relationships between student practice and achievement in physical education for subgroups of students based on initial skill level and gender. Students were pretested, received instruction, then posttested on certain volleyball skills. Researchers viewed and coded videotapes. Subgroup analyses provided greater information than analysis of class-level effects alone. (SM)
