Reculturing for Collaboration and Leadership.
Leonard, Lawrence J.; Leonard, Pauline E.
Journal of Educational Research, v92 n4 p237-42 Mar-Apr 1999
Surveyed Canadian teachers to determine leadership sources for implementing new programs and teaching practices. Results indicated that principals were the most widely identified source of leadership in implementing change. There was ambivalence about the perceived effect of principal-assistant principal teams. Teachers considered informal collaboration more effective in terms of leadership provision for change than formal, planned collaboration. (SM)
