Comparison of Taiwan Science Students' Outcomes with Inquiry-Group versus Traditional Instruction.
Chang, Chun-Yen; Mao, Song-Ling
Journal of Educational Research, v92 n6 p340-46 Jul-Aug 1999
Examined the comparative efficiency of inquiry-group instruction and traditional teaching methods on Taiwanese junior high school students' achievement and attitudes toward earth science. Surveys of students in both groups indicated that students in the inquiry group had significantly higher achievement scores and significantly more favorable attitudes toward the subject matter than did students in the traditional instruction group.
