Partnerships Depend on Power-Sharing: An Exploration of the Relationships between Fairground and Gypsy Traveller Parents and Their Children's Teacher in England.
Kiddle, Cathy
International Journal of Educational Research, v33 n3 p265-74 2000
Used participant observation, formal interviews, and policy documents to study the relationships between Fairground and Gypsy Traveler parents and the children's teachers in England. Teachers in the schools, which children attended only in the winter, were quite important to traveling families. Case study results suggest that power-sharing partnerships are essential to successful education for these children. (SLD)
