The Large-Scale, Authentic Assessment of Listening and Speaking as Interactive Communication: Issues in Reliability.
Hunter, Darryl M.; Randhawa, Bikkar S.
Alberta Journal of Educational Research, v47 n2 p156-72 Sum 2001
Examines reliability issues in the large-scale assessment of speech communication through authentic techniques, used recently in Saskatchewan. However, decentralized teacher ratings have insufficient reliability to allow their use for high-stakes testing purposes. (Contains 34 references.) (Author/SV)
