Effects of a Learning Information System on Mathematics Achievement and Classroom Structure.
Ysseldyke, Jim; Spicuzza, Richard; Kosciolek, Stacey; Boys, Christopher
Journal of Educational Research, v96 n3 p163-73 Jan-Feb 2003
Investigated the effects of implementing an instructional system that automated application of evidence-based components of effective instruction on student mathematics achievement and on classroom behaviors related to student achievement. Analysis of fourth and fifth graders in intervention and traditional instruction groups indicated that the instructional management system enhanced the standard mathematics curriculum, resulting in increased achievement and more time spent on classroom activities that contributed to positive academic outcomes.
