Organization and Comprehensibility in Scientific Proofs, or "Consider a Particle p...."
Dee-Lucas, Diana; Larkin, Jill H.
Journal of Educational Psychology, v82 n4 p701-14 Dec 1990

Results suggest that the usual proof-first structure is more difficult than a principle-first structure and results in less complete text representation. (SLD)
