Effects of Performance Standards on Teaching Styles: Behavior of Controlling Teachers.
Deci, Edward L; And Others
Journal of Educational Psychology, v74 n6 p852-59 Dec 1982

When responsibility for their students' performance was impressed upon teachers, they became more controlling. They talked more, were more critical, gave more commands and allowed less choice and autonomy. (Author/CM)
