Coaches' Feedback and Changes in Children's Perceptions of Their Physical Competence.

This study examined the relationship between five softball coaches' feedback and changes in their female athletes' self-perceptions of competence; performance control; and expectancy for success. Multivariate regression analyses showed players' psychosocial growth was a function of both players' skill and the coaches' response to player performance. (Author/BS)
