Mnemonic Facilitation of Learning Disabled Students' Memory for Expository Prose.
Scruggs, Thomas E.; And Others
Journal of Educational Psychology, v79 n1 p27-34 Mar 1987

Results showed that students learned more when they studied passages with mnemonic pictures and that mnemonic instruction facilitated students ability to make inferences about information which was never explicitly presented.
