Oral Discussion, Group-to-Individual Transfer, and Achievement in Cooperative Learning Groups.
Yager, Stuart; And Others
Journal of Educational Psychology, v77 n1 p60-66 Feb 1985
Second graders (N=75) were randomly assigned to three learning conditions stratified for sex and ability level: (1) cooperative learning with structured oral discussion; (2) cooperative learning with unstructured discussion; and (3) individualistic learning. Achievement results indicate group-to-individual transfer does take place within cooperative learning groups. (Author/BS)
