Understanding the Intentions of Pregnant Nullipara to Not Smoke Cigarettes after Childbirth.
Godin, Gaston; Lepage, Linda
Journal of Drug Education, v18 n2 p115-24 1988
Administered questionnaires to 63 pregnant nullipara to determine factors that may influence their decision to stop smoking following childbirth. Results revealed three factors which contributed equally to explaining variance: perceived self-efficacy, smoking habits during pregnancy, and attitude. Also found significant differences between cognitive profiles of high and low intenders to quit smoking. (Author/NB)
