The Relationship of Visualization Skills to Achievement in Freshman Chemistry

A study was conducted to determine the relationship of visualization abilities to achievement in chemistry. Two freshmen and one senior level class of chemistry majors were included. Two visualization tests and a chemistry examination at the end of the semester were conducted. A stronger relationship was reported between senior chemistry status and visualization abilities than with general abilities. (PS)
