More on Chemical Reaction Balancing.
Swinehart, D. F.
Journal of Chemical Education, v62 n1 p55 Jan 1985

The approach taken involves writing partial mathematical reactions and redox half-reactions, and combining them to yield the final balanced reaction. (JN)
