The Concept of Density

Students are aware of the theoretical or abstract concept of density, but fail to understand its practical implication in that the thickness concentrated in a solid object is what constitutes density. A study of the density concept reveals its very practical and qualitative nature, and the students must look beyond theoretical equations to understand the same.
