Mercury Thermometer Replacements in Chemistry Laboratories

The consequences of broken mercury-in-glass thermometers in academic laboratories results in various health and environmental hazards, which needs to be replaced, by long-stem digital thermometers and non-mercury glass thermometers. The factors that should be considered during the mercury replacement process are types of applications in the laboratories, temperature range, immersion length and many more.
