The Importance and Efficacy of Using Statistics in the High School Chemistry Laboratory
Matsumoto, Paul S.
Journal of Chemical Education, v83 n11 p1649-1651 Nov 2006
In high school, many students do not have an opportunity to learn or use statistics. Because statistics is a powerful tool and many students take a statistics class in college, prior exposure to statistics in a chemistry course (or another course) would benefit students. This paper describes some statistical concepts and tests with their applications to various experiments used in my high school chemistry courses. (Contains 2 tables.)
