The study describes and compares the size-dependent optical properties of organic dyes with those of semiconductor nanocrystals or quantum dots (QDs). The analysis shows that mixtures of QDs contain emission colors that are sum of the individual QD components.

The study is conducted using predictors to analyse the classroom practices and their connection with performance in first course introductory college chemistry. Trends in the predictors show that peer teaching is associated positively with higher grades, while individual work is negatively associated.

The discovery of ancient Inca tax rulers and other metallurgical objects in Peru show that the ancient civilizations of the country smelted metals. The analysis shows that the smelters in Peru switched from the production of copper to silver after a tax was imposed on them by the Inca rulers.
