Social and Nonsocial Factors in the Childhood Autism Rating Scale.
Stella, Jennifer; Tuchman, Roberto; Mundy, Peter
Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders, v29 n4 p307-17 Aug 1999
The Childhood Autism Rating Scale was factor analyzed to determine if distinct and independent "subgroups" of symptoms could be derived consistent with current multidimensional theory and nosology for autism. Five factors were identified which distinguished subjects with autism from subjects with pervasive developmental disorder not otherwise specified and nonautistic subjects. (Author/DB)
