Low-Dose Fluvoxamine Treatment of Children and Adolescents with Pervasive Developmental Disorders: A Prospective, Open-Label Study.
Martin, Andres; Koenig, Kathleen; Anderson, George M.; Scahill, Lawrence
Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders, v33 n1 p77-85 Feb 2003
This prospective open-label study assessed the efficacy and tolerability of low-doze fluvoxamine in 14 children with pervasive developmental disorders (PDDs). Although there was no response for the group as a whole, eight subjects were considered at least partial responders in intent-to-treat analyses. Results suggest fluvoxamine can be beneficial in the treatment of select children and adolescents with PDDs. (Contains references.) (Author/DB)
