Relationships among Student, Teacher and Observer Perceptions of Science Classrooms and Student Achievement.
Lawrenz, Frances; Huffman, Douglas; Robey, Jennifer
International Journal of Science Education, v25 n3 p409-20 Mar 2003
Examines relationships among observer, teacher, and student perceptions of what was occurring in 9th grade science classrooms to better understand the inter-relationships between the different perspectives. Shows that students and teachers view their classes differently, although the factor structures had some similarity. Also concludes that classroom observations conducted by trained observers are the best predictors of student achievement. (Author/KHR)
