Analyzes factors influencing the attitudes of secondary school teachers in Nairobi. Finds that, based on a field study and interviews, young male teachers suffered from relative deprivation in status and were therefore the least motivated and the most likely to leave the profession. Adds that direct working conditions didn't seem to have a significant influence on teachers' attitudes. (Contains 13 references.) (NB)
