The health promotion program at Emporia State University, in an effort to increase hiring potential and likelihood of success once in the workplace, requires majors to participate in experiential learning activities. These activities take place in worksites within the Emporia community and include health fairs, wellness coaching, lunch and learns and personal training. Students are able to apply the theories and methods they learn in the classroom, building valuable skills needed by wellness professionals. (Contains 4 figures.)
