Colleges and universities with teacher preparation programs need to establish reasonable requirements for prospective teachers in planning health education curriculum. Currently, many schools and school districts are conducting inservice health education courses for elementary classroom teachers. Guidelines are given for facilitating inservice health education courses. (JN)
