The School District of Philadelphia, through federal grants, has developed and provided several nutrition education programs for its schools. Programs concern: (1) a multimedia participation unit that motivates interest in nutrition; (2) parent involvement; (3) staff development; (4) workshops; (5) a nutrition newsletter; and (6) a nutrition education resource center.
