A sample consisting of 216 high school special education students from 16 different Kentucky school systems who were either educable mentally retarded or learning disabled were administered a health knowledge test. Results are disclosed, and implications for health educators are discussed. (MT)

This study examined the extent to which Fishbein's Model of Behavioral Intentions was able to predict breast self-examination behavior. Two hundred and ten students participated in this study to assess the health locus of control and health status of secondary special education students. This study examined how students' perceptions of silhouette drawings of various weights would change when descriptors of Likert-like endpoints describing heavy and thin weights were changed. Subjects were 211 college students who completed one of five forms of a questionnaire differing only in endpoint descriptors. Results are discussed. (MT)
