The Trading Cards Program: An Evaluation of Use of High School Role Models for Drug Abuse Prevention.
Harris, Jean L.
Journal of Health Education, v27 n2 p115-18 Mar-Apr 1996
This study evaluated the effectiveness of the Trading Cards Program to positively influence elementary students' (n=829) perceptions about the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. The program used drug-free high school students to model behaviors and social competencies. Significant differences were found between elementary students in the program and controls (n=238) concerning exposure to positive role models. (DB)
