Job Satisfaction in Health Education and the Value of Added Credentialing.

Surveyed 267 health educators to measure job satisfaction in the profession and investigate whether individual credentialing affected overall job satisfaction and satisfaction with work, pay, opportunity for promotion, coworkers, and supervision. Results indicated satisfaction with coworkers, work, supervision, and pay, but dissatisfaction with promotion opportunities. Type of credentialing affected satisfaction with opportunity for promotion. (SM)
