Predicting Employment for Students Who Leave Special Education High School Programs.
Heal, Laird W.; Rusch, Frank R.
Exceptional Children, v61 n5 p472-87 Mar-Apr 1995
A hierarchical regression analysis featuring 35 community, family, student, and school program characteristics was used to assess prediction of employment of 2,405 students who had left special education high school programs. Personal characteristics (especially being male and having living skills and academic skills) dominated the prediction of postschool employment. Family income also contributed significantly; school programs had minimal effect. (Author/JDD)
