The Search for Ambivalent Sexism: A Comparison of Two Measures.
Conn, Amy Buhl; Hanges, Paul J.; Sipe, William P.; Salvaggio, Amy Nicole
Educational and Psychological Measurement, v59 n6 p898-909 Dec 1999
Compared the old-fashioned and modern sexism scales of J. Swim, K. Aikin, W. Hall, and B. Hunter (1995) with the Ambivalent Sexism Inventory (P. Glick and S. Fiske, 1997) for 757 undergraduates. Results suggest that modern sexism directly measures ambivalent sexism and captures hostile and benevolent attitudes. (SLD)
