The respondents' (628 children in grades 5 through 10) scores on the Personal Attribute Inventory for Children (PAIC) correlated significantly with scores on the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory for Children and the Behavior Rating Profile--Student Scales, indicating the validity of the PAIC as an educational, clinical, and/or research instrument.
