Games, Paul A.; And Others – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1972
Two sampling studies were run to determine the robustness of the several tests of homogeneous variances to deviations from normality, and to compare the power of these tests. (Authors)

Ten Berge, Jos M. F. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1972
In the present article it is argued that the Least Squares Simplex Data Matrix Solution does not deal adequately with difficulty factors inasmuch as the theoretical foundation is insufficient. (Author/CB)

Zimmerman, Donald W. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1972
Although a great deal of attention has been devoted over a period of years to the estimation of reliability from item statistics, there are still gaps in the mathematical derivation of the Kuder-Richardson results. The main purpose of this paper is to fill some of these gaps, using language consistent with modern probability theory. (Author)

Coffman, Routh N.; Levy, Bernard I. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1972
Position adopted in this study was that the underlying structure of what has been thought of as the masculinity-femininity variable is multidimensional, that a more valid description of MF would thus reveal a pattern and not a score. (Authors)

Pennell, Roger – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1972
Author argues that simplistic and/or heuristic approaches to the Tucker and Messick model (an individual differences model for multidimensional scaling, 1963) are often inadequate. (Author/CB)

Bausell, R. Barker; Magoon, Jon – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1972
Results of study run counter to many previous research findings which found no relationship between students' expected grade in a course and their ratings of that course and its instructor. (Authors)
Descriptors: Academic Achievement, Analysis of Variance, Course Evaluation, Discriminant Analysis
