Cliff, Norman; And Others – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1977
Interscal is a program for subject-computer interactive multidimensional scaling. The program analyzes subsets of judgments of similarity as they are given and picks out dimension-defining stimuli; this capability allows for a great reduction in the number of judgments. Program features and options are described. (Author)

Krus, David J.; Krus, Patricia H. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1977
Described is a Fortran computer program for an alternative algorithm for Thurstone's pair comparisons method. This algorithm provides an improved capacity for handling indeterminate proportions of one and zero as well as untruncated estimates of population scale values. (Author/JKS)

Cicchetti, Domenic V.; And Others – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1977
Computer programs are described which compute rater agreement and rater bias statistics with qualitative data. They also utilize techniques for selecting the most reliable rater from a set of raters and identifying those cases which are most difficult for raters to classify. (Author/JKS)

Lutz, J. Gary – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1977
A program is described for univariate and multivariate judgment analysis in which judges rate subjects on one or more characteristics and at least one attribute of subjects is known. The program fits a linear model to each judge's rating and then clusters judges according to similarities in their models. (Author/JKS)

Pollane, Leonard P.; Schnittjer, Carl J. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1977
Analytical comparisons are made of four commonly available packaged computer programs which perform principal-axis factor analysis. The four programs: Statistical Analysis System, Data-Text, Biomedical Computer Programs, and the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences were compared by running each program with the same data set. (Author/JKS)

Armenakis, Achilles A.; And Others – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1977
The coefficient of congruence is a quantitative measure of the similarity of factor structures for different samples of subjects. This paper is intended to inform interested readers of the availability of a computer program capable of computing coefficients of congruence of factor structures. (Author)

Myerberg, N. James – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1977
A computer program to perform multiple-group factor analysis is presented. Written in Fortran Four, the program has a special feature to handle variables with strong negative correlations. (Author)

Huberty, Carl J. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1977
The objective of this paper is to review the outputs of selected computer programs often used to carry out a "discriminant analysis" with respect to two purposes of such an analysis, discrimination and classification. The programs selected are three BMD programs. (Author/JKS)

Pollane, Leonard P.; Schnittjer, Carl J. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1977
This study was designed to provide analytic comparisons of five commonly available packaged computer programs which perform factorial univariate analysis of covariance. The five packages: Statistical Analysis System, Datatext, Biomedical Computer Programs, and Statistical Package for the Social Sciences were compared by running each program on the…

Fordyce, Michael W. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1977
A flexible Fortran program for computing one way analysis of variance is described. Requiring minimal core space, the program provides a variety of useful group statistics, all summary statistics for the analysis, and all mean comparisons for a priori or a posteriori testing. (Author/JKS)

Fordyce, Michael W. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1977
A flexible Fortran program for computing a complete analysis of covariance is described. Requiring minimal core space, the program provides all group and overall summary statistics for the analysis, a test of homogeneity of regression, and all posttest mean comparisons for a priori or a posteriori testing. (Author/JKS)

Doyle, Kenneth O., Jr.; Wattawa, Scott – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1977
Programs are described for the construction and analysis of student evaluation questionnaires and rating scales that are custom-designed for individual course instructors. Minor modifications would permit the use of these programs for other kinds of questionnaires and rating scales as well as for achievement tests. (Author)

Krus, Patricia H.; Krus, David J. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1977
A Fortran program is presented that administers, scores, and interprets the Interpersonal Check List. Included in the program are test items, protocols for administration and scoring, printing of individually-tailored interpretation of results, and a pictorial plot describing the characteristic interpersonal behavior in terms of two orthogonal…

Green, Samuel B.; Noles, Keith O. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1977
The autoregressive integrated moving averages model (ARIMA) has been applied to time series data in psychological and educational research. A program is described that generates ARIMA data of a known order. The program enables researchers to explore statistical properties of ARIMA data and simulate systems producing time dependent observations.…
