The Zen of Revolutionary Pedagogy: Is There a Middle Path?
Miron, Louis F.
Educational Theory, v52 n3 p359-73 Sum 2002
Suggests that while left-wing radical scholars and intellectuals are committed to the common good, it may be necessary to give up the abstract idea of doing good to discover pragmatically what doing good means. The article reviews the works of Peter McLaren and Paul Willis, discussing the need to step back and reflect on current global political contexts and illustrating how a spiritual-ethical concept may prove very practical.
