Say You Want a Revolution...Suggestions for the Impossible Future of Critical Pedagogy.
Biesta, Gert J. J.
Educational Theory, v48 n4 p499-510 Fall 1998
Argues that what makes education possible is its impossibility, and the only possible future for critical pedagogy is an impossible future. The paper suggests a critical pedagogy that wants to be pedagogically and politically consistent must contend with three impossibilities: the impossibility of education, the impossibility of demystification, and the impossibility of justice.
