Critiques two articles on critical pedagogy, approaching critical pedagogy via a move away from legislating meaning and toward contradictory voices, counternarratives, and competing understandings and proposing thought within Derrida's ordeal of the undecidable and its obligations to openness, passage, and nonmastery. The paper discusses the state of critical pedagogy today, political economy redux, negative dialectics redux, and feminist trouble redux. (SM)
