Application of telecommunications technology to educate children whose physical state or geographic location made attendance in public schools virtually impossible. The Kentucky Project utilized a minicomputer to deliver instruction to severely developmentally retarded children from birth to age six living with their families in sparsely populated and geographically isolated areas.
